Winter Check-Off List
Getting your watering system ready for winter.

Turn off any seasonal watering items such as drip systems, sprinkler systems and swamp coolers.

Locate your water meter.  Being able to turn off the meter in an emergency can help you to save water and money.

Insulate any exposed water pipes. Backflow Devices can be protected using a removable insulated box.

Do an inspection of your plumbing system before the rainy season. Leaks are often hard to find in wet conditions.

Now is a good time to retrofit any indoor water fixtures such as older toilets, showerheads and faucets.

Adjust automatic sprinklers. Weekly or less,  or "water budget" setting
